The most profound experience of my adult existence.
My therapist was not only incredibly empathetic, which meant we really clicked on a personal level, but I also appreciated her approach. Rather than digging deeply into personal history, she focused on finding future-focused solutions in the simplest and most effective way. She has been great, and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
You need to know that you are absolutely amazing at what you do. Anyone who gets to work with you next is extremely lucky. When talking to others about how amazing my CBT experience was, I realise that I now know how to tackle this world and have all the tools I need to continue pushing myself through any future struggles. You are caring, compassionate, and unbelievably supportive. I could sit and write about how amazing you are for ages! Thank you so much, and I will keep you updated in the future. Many, many thanks-

Get to Know Your Therapist
Chantell Ama Jones is a Black British therapist from East London with a mixed‑heritage background.
With Ghanaian roots through her father and a mixed‑race White British and Caribbean heritage through her mother, Chantell often describes herself as “a bit of a cocktail.”
Growing up navigating multiple cultures has shaped her understanding of identity, belonging, and emotional complexity. These lived experiences are fully embraced and inform the warmth, cultural sensitivity, and openness she brings to her work. Her identity, culture, and upbringing are central to the way she works. She understands the real barriers many Black people in the UK face when trying to access support whether that’s stigma, cost, cultural misunderstanding, or simply not seeing themselves reflected in the mental-health space.
Growing up, emotional expression within her family wasn’t always openly encouraged, and some feelings were left unspoken. Her parents had opposing attachment styles and when she tried to explore her emotions more deeply, she often heard messages like “too much” or “overthinking.” She never accepted that. She believed feelings deserved curiosity and care, not dismissal.
Her career became an intentional act of change. As the Ghanaian say, “small small” steps can create meaningful impact. This philosophy underpins her approach to therapy: taking thoughtful, manageable steps to support lasting change.
Amalytical is a Black-owned practice grounded in lived experience, professional training, and deep
cultural understanding. Chantell created Amalytical to offer support that is accessible, flexible, and
culturally aware especially for people who may not feel comfortable or able to access traditional
therapy.
Not everyone needs or can access hour-long therapy sessions. Some people simply need clarity,
grounding, or direction right now. Amalytical offers innovative, short-term, written and digital
support that fits into real life delivered straight to your inbox or phone.
Her approach is: AMA
A. Assess what’s happening (Direct)
M. Make meaning of your responses (Empowering)
A. Apply evidence‑based strategies (Focused)
Amalytical provides real, relatable, and affordable support on your timeline.
